Ultra-Shear Compact Spiral Pattern Router Bits are 2-flute solid carbide router bits made for template and pattern routing with smaller trim routers. These pattern bits come in a 1/4" shank, 1/2" cutting diameter, 1" cut length, and 3" overall length, giving the bits reach for tight-radius template projects and 5/4 material.  Choose from up cut or down cut.

Up-cut bits are generally preferred for solid wood, while down-cut bits help keep the top surface clean on plywood, including thin face veneers. The page describes these as solid carbide spiral bits with a 2-flute design.
