Bocote, Cordia gerascanthus, is a visually stunning wood from Mexico and Central America. It features a yellowish-brown body with dramatic dark brown to black stripes that often form "eyes"; It is heavy and dense with a high oil content, finishing to a beautiful natural luster. These slabs are kiln-dried and thickness planed. We have taken the pictures after
wiping on some water to show off the grain pattern of the slab. The slabs were measured from the center of the board in both width and length.
